More the knowledge, lesser the Ego, lesser the knowledge, more the Ego – Albert Einstein
I think it’s safe to say that the latter in the above mentioned quote is an actuate description of today’s Republican Party. C’mon, one could blame Gerrymandering, Citizens United, and Voter Suppression on Republican’s deflated egos. Am I right? It could be said that Republicans egos were deflated when candidate Senator Barack Obama was elected our 44th President. Which may explain why Republicans resorted to obstructionism. A childish behavior at best, an arrogant and self-deceptive behavior at worse. Republicans can’t depend on real accomplishments, so they conspicuously seek attention by taking credit for the works of others. We all remembered how Republicans railed against the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 (ARRA), but most bragged about the stimulus projects and requested more money for their own districts.
Oh, and by the way, On March 17, 2015, after controversy about his use of federal funds, Aaron Schock announced his resignation from Congress, effective March 31.
